Piedmont Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines, has implemented dentCHECK at multiple hubs to enhance the efficiency and quality of its aircraft damage mapping and reporting activities.
CONSTANCE, GERMANY & RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, January 10, 2025.
“dentCHECK saves time and resources, more accurately collecting measurement data and removing a portion of human error”, said Paul Seiber, Technical Support Engineering Manager at Piedmont Airlines. “It can be difficult to get accurate dimensions of a dent because of the curvature of the fuselage, and each inspector may get a different result. dentCHECK is more consistent in measurement data, taking the guess work out of the equation. Within a few minutes of knowing about a dent, we can get in the aircraft manual looking for relief or sending the information to engineering. This is a valuable tool to use when needed.”
